About
Ellie Nicolay

As a Psychologist with a Masters and endorsement in Developmental and Educational Psychology (CEDP), I provide counselling, assessment, and treatment to a range of clients across the lifespan.
I see clients with a variety of complex needs for counselling and support. I endeavour to build an open and collaborative relationship with my clients in order to support their needs. I am able to advise and facilitate adult assessment if required.
In my family centred work with children & adolescents, I have experience working with anxiety, mood disorders, behavioural concerns, adolescent challenges, ADHD and autism support. I am trained in assessment for learning disorders, ADHD, parenting support and behavioural concerns and have worked in both school settings and private practice, as well as raising 3 children through the challenges of childhood and adolescence. I have a thorough understanding of the multi-facted needs of treatment concerns and work closely with families combining my values of integrity, respect, and empowerment to facilitate growth and change, and support clients to flourish and thrive.

I use the appropriate combination of modalities drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, ACT principles, Dialectical Behavioural Therapies, mindfulness and growth strategies, play therapy and therapeutic counselling, in reaching treatment goals.
